Putting pen to paper
The client's
requirements play a central role when a carillon installation is being designed
and calculated. At Eijsbouts we are able to call on extensive knowledge and
experience to assist the client in formulating specific ideas. If necessary we
can provide all the information required during the process. Artistic input, the
carillon's action and advice regarding the timbre of the bells are all important
aspects. Equally important to the plan are the towers of the building for which
the installation is intended, not to mention the available budget. That is why
we respond to every enquiry with a detailed quotation and, most importantly, a
working plan in which the client's expectations are fully represented. Further
consultation and subsequent amendment will be followed by a definitive design.
Attention to history
The approach sketched above applies particularly in regard to restoration
activities. During recent years, Eijsbouts has demonstrated its expertise in
this very specialised discipline by successfully restoring various large
carillons, automatic playing drums and clocks. Eijsbouts conducts thorough
research into the original historical circumstances of the tower and its makers,
and all restoration is carried out with close attention to these insights.
The client's wishes
After careful measurement and analysis of the circumstances, Eijsbouts
provides a recommendation taking into account the specific requirements of the
client and its consultants. The project will be started as soon as an order has
been issued and all details have been documented in a drawing.
